1. Getting Started
1.1 Account Setup
To begin your Argo journey, you'll need to create an account. Once registered, you'll be able to craft intelligent agents, collaborate with them, and leverage their capabilities for various tasks.
1.2 Navigating Argo
Argo's user interface features a convenient left-hand column with seven navigation tabs:
Tab 1: 💬 Conversations
- Access your ongoing conversations with agents.
- The "Alfred" agent welcomes you as you get to grips with Argo
- A default "Argus" agent helps you learn Argo's features and create your own custom agents
- By clicking on https://app.simplymeet.me/charles-foucault-dumas/onboardargo you can book a 1-1 call with Charles, project manager for Hestia.ai, who will guide you through your first steps with Argo and help you create your own custom agents (when booking the call, please use the same email address as for your Argo account).
- Create new conversations, name them and select the agent you'd like to interact with
Tab 2: 🤖 Agents
- Access your agent portfolio.
- Chat with default agents by clicking 💬New chat
- Create new custom agents by clicking on ✚New agent
- Configure your agents by clicking on ✏️Edit Agent
Tab 3: 📁 Knowledge Base
- Access your personal knowledge base to provide context for your agents
- Easily upload .txt, .md, .html, .pdf files (soon: .csv) or scrape web pages
- These files and web pages serve as knowledge for your agents, making them more effective

(*) One thousand hestia.ai credits represents an OpenAI/Azure equivalent budget of 88 GPT4 pages of conversation or 2700 GPT3.5 pages of conversation (assumption: 1 page = 500 words, 1 token = 0.75 word). Our pricing will be pegged to the evolution of the pricing of models, which we expect to be a favorable evolution towards our end-users, due to a decrease in cost per token.

2. Conversations
2.1 Accessing Conversations
The "💬 Conversations" tab is your gateway to ongoing discussions with your agents. Here's how to use it:
2.2 Creating a New Conversation
- Click on "New Chat" to initiate a new conversation.
- Provide a name for the conversation.
- Select the agent with whom you'd like to converse.
2.3 Chatting with Agents
Engage in productive conversations with your agents. Argus will guide you through the basics and help you create the perfect agents for your needs. Let us know your ideas and feedback by using the hashtags #feature and #bug in your discussions with your agents.
3. Knowledge Base
3.1 Accessing Your Knowledge Base
The "📁 Knowledge Base" tab is your repository for relevant files and information.
3.2 Adding Files to Your Knowledge Base
- Click "New File" to upload files in various formats or “New URL” to scrape a web page.
- These files serve as reference material for your agents, aiding them in understanding your tasks and requirements.
4. Agents
4.1 Accessing Your Agents
In the "🤖 Agents" tab, you can manage and create agents tailored to your needs:
4.2 Creating a New Agent
- Select "Add Agent" to create a new virtual assistant.
- Name your agent, define its role and mission.
- Configure its creativity level by adjusting the "Temperature." (This parameter is between 0=very little creative and 2=very creative)
- Associate the agent with a relevant knowledge base for context.
Example of the "Argus" agent:
- Role: Argo User Support Agent
- Missions: Onboard Argo users, answer user questions about Argo, relay user requests for new features via #feature, and report user-identified issues using #bug.
- Associated Files: Argo User Manual
- Temperature=0
Note: The Argo User Support agent is affectionately named "Argus" in reference to the builder of Jason and the Argonauts' boat. In this metaphorical context, you, the user, are Jason, and the agents you create are your Argonauts.
Argo may disclose your personal data to third party service providers for processing purposes, for instance with OpenAI, Microsoft or other service providers. Because you can connect your agents each with a specific model, you will find additional information about the conditions applicable in the configuration page for each of your agents.
